Away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, in the eastern district of Friedrichsfelde, is Tierpark Berlin – Europe’s largest animal park! Set in 160 hectares of extensive and varied parkland around the historic mansion Schloss Friedrichsfelde, the Tierpark is home to more than 9,000 animals representing almost 800 different species.
Majestic herds of elephants, expansive camel meadows, and magical adventure play areas turn a stroll through the Tierpark into a wonderful experience for the whole family. Unique animal encounters are guaranteed with the walk-through Lemur Woods and the exciting free-flight show. Visitors can also climb aboard the free Tierpark train that stops at various points around the park – perfect for a relaxing zoological journey around the world!
