The Gemäldegalerie presents itself as a collection with world-class masterpieces. You have an impressive overview of European painting from the 13th to the 18th century.

Explore the range of masterpieces from Albrecht Dürer ot Rembrandt and Peter Paul Rubens. A collection of German and Italian painting from the 13th to 16th centuries or Low Countries painting from the 15th to 17th centuries. Admire, study and explore the impressive collection of 1,000 masterpieces and 400 pictures in the study gallery of the Gemäldegalerie at the Kulturforum.

Health and Safety Measures

Visitors (age 6 and older) and all staff are obliged to wear a mouth and nose covering and to maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 metres from other people. Plexiglas partitions protect all ticket, information and audio guide counters. For the time being no events will take place at the museums. Tour bookings and groups registrations cannot be accepted until further notice.

Visitors must follow a designated course through all exhibition spaces and should avoid forming groups inside the buildings. Signs in front of and inside the museums as well as social distance markers in the operational areas provide information about the health and safety measures to be observed.

Sat + Sun: 11:00 am to 6:00 pm

Important information

The slot tickets allows entry to the museum for 15 minutes. Upon entry you are permitted to stay as long as you would like.

Children and young people under the age of 18 are admitted free of charge. Please note that tickets cannot be cancelled. Please note that, until further notice, visits are only possible with one valid time slot ticket per visitor.

All visitors from 6 years on are obliged to wear a FFP-2 mouth and nose cover, which should be brought along. All visitors (aged 6 and older) must present a negative COVID-19 test result that is no more than 24 hours old. Alternatively you can present an evidence of a full and effective vaccination against COVID-19 or convalescence after COVID-19 disease. Ticket sales start 3 days in advance and are likely to be booked out quickly.

Reduced: (students with ID, trainees, people with disabilities (GdB 50%)

All visitors from 6 years on are obliged to wear a mouth and nose cover, which should be brought along.
