KPM Welt – Admission

Description

The interactive KPM Welt exhibition on the grounds of the world-famous KPM porcelain factory in Berlin offers fascinating insights into the world of fine porcelain. Why is the blue sceptre the hallmark of KPM? What are the stages in producing a KPM vase? How do the porcelain painters go about their work?
The exhibition presents valuable examples of KPM porcelain going back the three centuries of the company's existence. The archive shows the variety of shapes the vases have taken over the years and shows what makes fine porcelain so special. The historic ring-chamber furnace hall shows the complex process of porcelain manufacture. And the demonstration workshop lets you look over the shoulder of the craftspeople and artists at work.
